Lesson 2 of 117
In Progress

1st January (39:53)

For the first verse of Qur’an 365 we are connecting with a verse from Surah Az-Zumar, verse 53.

Say, O Prophet ﷺ, that Allah says, “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (39:53)

This verse of the Holy Quran reminds us of the greatness of Allah’s mercy, it is a source of inspiration when we may feel alone, or defeated in life that Allah will always be there for us. Knowing that with sincere repentance, Allah can and will forgive us.

Different situations and trials in life can often give way to despair, this verse supplies us with hope and reminds us of His infinite mercy and generosity towards His creation.

The Prophet (ﷺ) reports that Almighty Allah says, “O children of Adam! As long as you call upon Me, putting your hope in Me, I will forgive you for what you have done, and I will not mind. O children of Adam! If your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you sought My forgiveness, I would (still) forgive you. O children of Adam! If you were to come to Me with sins filling the whole world and then you came to Me without associating other gods with Me, I would certainly match your sins with forgiveness.” (Tirmidhi)
